After installing this application from the DIGITAL HiNote Ultra 2000 System CD, to run this tutorial, click on Start-Programs-Digital-Mobile Wellness. RING CENTRAL ------------ Ring Central supports the HiNote Ulltra 2000 internal modem. It may not support PC Card modems. When installing this application, you MUST already have the internal MODEM installed in your system. Without the internal MODEM installed in your system, the installation script of Ring Central will hang the machine and require a reboot. "ENHANCEMENTS AND UPDATES" -------------------------- This option of the CDINSTALL.EXE installation program is only used when Windows 95 SR 2.0 has been reinstalled (from the Win 95 CD supplied with your system) onto a new or repartitioned hard drive. It should not be run on the Windows 95 operating system as supplied on your laptop from Digital Equipment Corporation. This option will install USB support and updated files for Infrared. This option will also move the .CAB files of Windows 95 currently found in the C:\WIN95 directory to the C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS directory. NOTE: When the .CAB files are moved, the default drivers location for new hardware or Windows 95 options is changed. When Windows 95 is looking for the location of drivers or .CAB files, you will be prompted to supply the path. Once again, the new path for the .CAB files is C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS. USER'S GUIDE ------------ When you start the installation of the Ultra 2000 User's Guide, you will notice that Adobe Acrobat installs as well. This is the program used to view this document. Also when the User's_Guide.PDF is being transferred to your hard drive, the dialog box will start with the display showing and staying at 42% for a long time. This is its normal operation.
